Deep Relaxation Session
My deep relaxation sessions begin with an introductory talk, during which I will explain what deep relaxation technique is, clarify any doubts, and get to know your intentions and needs.
Using relaxation techniques, I induce you into a state of relaxation and calmness.
Once you are in a receptive state, I will suggest ways for you to achieve your goals, such as reducing pain or eliminating cravings to smoke. I may also help you visualize vivid, meaningful mental images of yourself accomplishing your goals.
After the session, I slowly and gently lead you out of the hypnotic state and have a post-hypnotic conversation about your feelings and thoughts surrounding the past session.
What Is Deep Relaxation Technique?
Deep relaxation technique, also known as hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion, is a trance-like state in which you have increased concentration and focus. During a deep relaxation session, there is a change in brainwave frequency, which decreases from Beta to Alpha and Theta waves. Therefore, when you are under a deep relaxation session, you usually feel calm and relaxed and are more open to suggestions. Perception is weakened and susceptibility to suggestion is enhanced. The mind quiets and relaxes. The person under a deep relaxation session maintains awareness and the ability to talk to the therapist.
